Magnolia Studios - Chicago

This is a best kept secret! Very nice accommodations and close to everything I needed. I will stay here again.

I loved staying in this clean, well-lighted studio located in a wonderfully charming coach house. Check-in was a breeze, and the studio had all the amenities I needed during my stay--comfortable bed; functional, well-stocked kitchenette, complete with microwave AND stove; French doors with a view of the tree-filled backyard; and a modern bathroom (stocked with plenty of towels and nice little toiletries) with a roomy, walk-in shower complete with a sit-down bench. The location was great also. Located on a beautiful tree-lined street in a quiet neighborhood, the house is walking distance to Whole Foods and Osco's and other small, cute restaurants. The room also had free Wi-Fi and cable TV. I would DEFINITELY stay here again!

Kait, the owner left us a bottle of wine and some chocolate covered cookies as a welcoming gift. That was a big surprise. We had three people in our party and need an extra bed. Kait came by to show us where she kept the extra bed if needed. You have to walk through a small narrow path/walkway to get to the studio apartment. Once in the back, it is very quiet and charming. The location is close to the train station so you don't need a car while staying in Chicago. Quiet neighborhood.

The owner, Kaye, went above and beyond to make my stay amazing. Super nice family environment. The room was nicely decked out with coffee maker, super comfy bed, roku TV, deluxe dual head shower. One of the best places I have ever stayed at in Chicago. Dont miss the chance to be spoiled. Great part of town walking to local restaurants and coffee houses.

I came in at Union Station and took the red line out to Magnolia Coach House to meet my partner since he drove to Chicago from another location. It's about a 15 minute walk from the red line and there are about a half dozen small ethnic restaurants near the red line station, so it's a good spot to grab some dinner. He parked on the street and we left the car there all weekend with no problems, plus the parking was free. The directions to get there and to get into the coach house were easy to follow. The coach house is very private. Another couple stayed in the other studio in the coach house, but we only heard them come and go, no noise from the other room even though we shared a wall. The studio was large and pleasant with a full kitchen. We made breakfast Sunday morning. Being close to the red line was handy. While we were in town, we went to the theater district, Navy Pier, and Chinatown easily and quickly. The longest journey on the el was about 30 or 40 minutes.
