Perfect in every way, clean, modern, friendly staff. Parking opposite, free. Even had a dining room to eat our takeaway from the wonderful Peking Chinese 2 mins. away and bottle of lemonade from the shop open until 11pm nearby. The fan in room was a bonus too for this hot weather. Thank you very much Goodlife we will be back! You must watch the Goodlife Guesthouse video on YouTube too!

Perfect for a quick stay
Situated over a Job Centre Plus and a supermarket, the exterior doesn't fill one with confidence but inside, everything is perfect - comfortable rooms, friendly staff. We booked in for a night after getting in from a late ferry crossing and the hotel was perfect. Bed was very comfortable and we slept well for our onward journey.

Would go again
We stayed overnight ready to catch the ferry. The carpark is over the road and no charge. The hotel door is a bit "hidden". A buzz on the door let us in. The room was exactly what we needed and we had a good night's sleep. We didnt get to sample the breakfast but will do next time we go. The landlady was lovely. Room was clean and we definitely had no complaints.

8/10 Very good

The Hotel was above shops on a busy High Street, our room's windows faced the High Street and the sea. Early mornings are very noisy with people talking below and lorry's thundering by feels like they're in the room with you. The room/building quite old and could benefit from having a new carpet in the room it was badly stained as was the chairs to the table. The bed was an extremely elaborate design befitting of a palace or similar seemed a bit OTT for a small B&B. Shower base felt a little unsteady like it was about to crack with the weight. On the plus side the mattress, sheets, were spotless as were the towels in the bathroom. The hotel location was a perfect spot for beach and Harwich Town. the staff very friendly and knowledgeable, we did not have breakfast at the hotel but the dining room looked very pleasant. The Car park is across the road and is free. I would stay there again as it was convenient for the purposes of our visit.
