The little things that count.
My expectations were low after a very difficult phone conversation about arriving. I had no WiFi in the room, only on my balcony. My four day stay had no hot water for two mornings, for the rest of my stay the water pressure made it impossible to shower standing up. I explained it a number off times to reception. Across the river has a bar playing loud and bad music, that can be a bit irritating. The rooms are basic with AC. On the whole I expected better for the money. There are better and cheaper hotel's available in the area.

Beautiful gardens but rooms not so great
Location on river is beautiful with well kept grounds and gardens. If only they put as much attention into the rooms. Felt very cold and sterile. Bed was the worst! Very stiff and uncomfortable. Bathroom felt like a barrack. Staff was very quiet and not very helpful. There was an older Australian man who looked like he ran the show but was not friendly. We ended up switching hotels

Nice hotel, close to vang vien city centre.
Good location, nice view of the river that flows right behind the hotel. However the approach road to the hotel is terrible.

The hotel was very well located, walking distance to the center of town in a quieter street with nice views of the river and a pleasant garden. The room was spacious but had lots of ants and I woke up every morning to the sound of roosters at 6am. Breakfast was nothing special.

Great potential of the hotel but bad management
Great terrace with fantastic view (if you take river view room). The rest was very dissapointing. Staff is one of the worst we have ever met, not helpful, unfriendly, ignorant. Breakfast is bad, too. We had spider nets with caught flies all over the room. Also bathroom was dirty at the time of check in and staff had problem cleaning it. All this for 50€/night??? Great potentail of the hotel but unfortunatelly careless management.
