Hotel Stadt Hameln

Staff were lovely, rooms are very spacious but it didn’t feel four star at all. The decor was really tired in the hallways and the lift was really ancient. The bedroom had mid matched furniture and the bathroOm was very out- dated. However the staff more than made up with it with their generous natures. It did the job but wasn’t luxurious by any means

I liked the docor and set up of the hotel. It was a pleasure to stay there. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and suited all tastes.

We (couple + small dog) stayed in Hameln overnight in transit across Germany. The room was far too warm, but with no air-conditioning. Opening the windows did help cool the room, but was then too noisy. The room seems to be a bit of a solar trap with no means of temperature control. The hotel is dog tolerant, but no additional facilities were provided in terms of blankets, bed or bowls as seems to be the case elsewhere we stayed. Fortunately we had all our own kit. Parking is an extra cost in an adjacent public underground car park accessed by steps. So, not that convenient if carrying luggage. The bathroom was equipped with no toiletries other than basic soap. Breakfast was adequate. The fabric of the hotel is starting to show wear and could do with refurbishment. I do not think this is a 4 star hotel - with a little work I think it might be considered 3 star.

Nice hotel with character but getting a bit tired in places

Un hotel tres bien situe a cote de la riviere et proche du centre.

Das Hotel Stadt Hameln besticht durch seine ideale Lage an der Weser, zugleich kann man die Innenstadt mit ihren Sehenswürdigkeiten leicht zu Fuß erreichen. Sehr schönes großes Zimmer mit komfortabler Einrichtung (recht konventioneller Stil). Alles sehr geflegt und sauber. Die Anfahrt war überraschend schwierig, weil man als Ortsunkundiger die Hoteleinfahrt von der stark befahrenen B1 (Münsterwall) leicht übersieht und sich unversehens auf der falschen Weserseite wiederfindet. Parken in der Tiefgarage teuer (9,50€) und umständlich, weil es von dort keinen direkten Zugang zur Rezeption gibt, wurde aber als alternativlos genannt. Überhaupt war der Empfang nicht besonders freundlich oder gar hilfsbereit. Info zum WLan, das heute wirklich jeder benutzt, wurde weder mündlich noch schriftlich gegeben, erst auf telefonische Anfrage vom Zimmer aus (und dann recht patzig, als hätten wir uns zu blöd angestellt). Hat aber gut funktioniert. - Das Restaurant haben wir nicht besucht (sehr hohe Preise und bizarre Speisen). In der Nähe gibt es aber ein großes Angebot an netten, preiswerten Restaurants. Frühstücksbuffet war nicht überwältigend, aber in Ordnung: gute Speisenauswahl, ordentliches Corona-Management. Insgesamt ist das Hotel zu empfehlen.

Hotellet er renoveret siden vores sidste ophold, og beliggenhed, værelser, morgenmad og service er i top. Tæt på floden og i gåafstand til centrum. P-kælder mod gebyr med direkte opgang til hotellet

Empfang wenig freundlich, kurz angebunden, das Zimmer wurde uns nicht gezeigt. Es gab nur den Hinweis" da drüben ist Ihr Zimmer". Bis auf 2 Ausnahmen war das weitere Personal desinteressiert und nicht gastfreundlich. Im Bad gab es keine Ablagen, der Toilettenpapierhalter reparaturbedürftig und die Zimmertür am oberen Scharnier nur notdürftig geflickt.
