Decent location, cabins not the cleanest
My grandparents, husband and I recently stayed in two cabins for the weekend. We arrived a little early at 1pm to see if the rooms were ready early, however they weren’t and we were advised we’d be phoned when they were cleaned. We didn’t receive a call, so ended up arriving after the designated 2pm check in time. Upon entry to our rooms, my grandparent’s cabin stank very strongly of cigarette smoke which gave them headaches. We found a large cockroach inside the entry to our cabin, and the overall cleanliness was poor. Only a thin blanket and sheet were provided on the beds, and rather flimsy mattresses. The main bedroom was up a steep flight of stairs, which made going to the toilet during the night rather inconvenient. Cabins were a decent size. The actual grounds of the accommodation were nice and well kept. We enjoyed a delicious cocktail at the on-site restaurant, and the location was in easy access with a car. Overall not very satisfied given the price, we’d particularly expect a more thorough clean.

Great view but very small space to move around.
We enjoyed our time but would have enjoyed it more if we didn’t have to clean the dust off everything before we used them also couldn’t use the freezer section of the fridge as it was iced up and you couldn’t put anything in it. A bit more care in vacuuming and dusting would help. Also could do with 2 chairs in the room.
