Nothing special + Need to get with the times
Hotel was nothing special, but was a safe place to rest. Was a bit disappointed that hotel was requesting cash payment only (finally reluctantly agreed to credit card payment but with 3% added to the bill). Also there was a significant change in room rate if booked locally (room would have been ~40+$ cheaper if book on site then via hotels.com

First Time in PEI
Room was old but fairly clean - Bath room was very clean, There were only 4 tv stations available. Owner encouraged to book direct next time as commission rates to Booking Sites had to keep rates high. He then attempted to assess an unknown/advertised 3% additional cost for processing of a credit card for the room charge. He relented after my dismay. That said, morning breakfast was very good.

QUIET AND LOVELY,
If your high maitance,, this is not the hotel for you. I on the other hand am simple and loved my stay at this hotel. It is a older hotel and the owners made it welcoming and it was clean. There was a candle in each room and flower pots at each door and little notes about the area left for us. The owners were very nice and helpful with any questions. There were barbeques for us to use along with toys such and scooters and bikes for kids to use. There is a play ground for kids. The owners called me to say I forgot clothing but I already left PEI and did not retrieve it. For the price and helpfulness, I would reccomend it. There is not much to walk to but there is a town, Summerside a short drive away.

Island Hotel
We booked one night and decided to stay 2 , Murray and staff very efficient and friendly . We stayed in a room with a King bed , it was very comfy. Room was spotless and everything worked well. There was a continental breakfast but my wife and I pretty much stick to coffee which ws hot and fresh. All and All we would stay here again for sure.
