The kitchen does need an upgrade, the basin was skew and and the table top around the basin was breaking.it would be great if they had a toaster in the unit and cereal bowls. A play park for kids would also be a great addition. They also need to warn and tell guestes not to feed the baboons. The latch on the patio door broke and we told one of the owners, she was suppose to send someone to put on a new latch, but nobody came to fix.We slept with an unlocked door that evening.
Other than that we had a peaceful and relaxing stay, we loved being able to make a fresh pot of coffee every morning with the complimentary beans. The private jacuzzi was also amazing.

Fabulous if you like a break away from it all
I had read mixed reviews about this resort before booking but I would not hesitate to recommend it. If you are looking for five star luxury then this is not the place for you but, if you are looking for a break away from it all where you can relax to the sound of birdsong amidst the most spectacular scenery, then you must give this place a visit. The chalets have been described as tired but we would rather describe them as full of rustic charm. The owners have worked hard over the last two years to transform a run down resort into a delightful get away. We were well and truly looked after by the staff. Please don't listen to the negative reviews! One recommendation I have is to ring ahead the day before to find out what chalet you are booked into as staff are not always available but your key will be left in the door for you.

Paid for 2 bedroom only got a one bedroom.
Not a resort, just cottages in hills. Cottages in serious need of TLC.

The cottage we stayed in was in a perfect spot, amaizing vews and to have a jacuzzi on the deck was a bonus. The cottage is in need of some repair work however. The bathroom door is a sliding door and falls off when you try to use it. I mailed them and they said they would send someone up. That never happened. The cottage has everything you may need for a great time away. It just needs some basic repairs.

Lovely getaway
We loved the stunning sunrise and sunsets. The view from our chalet was awesome and sitting in the jacuzzi taking in all that natural beauty was so uplifting for the body and soul.

Scenic location overlooking mountains
Very comfortable cottage, resort clearly going through some upgrades with landscaping in progress. Great views over the mountain, good self-catering facilities and lovely deck to enjoy the view. Room looking a tad tired but i guess due an overhaul, but very clean and bed super-comfortable!

Relaxing weekend away from the city.
The farm is so quiet and peaceful. Wonderful views from the "stoep"
The house is fully equipped and comfortable and we enjoyed the Jacuzzi. Nice trails to explore the country side. I had a wonderful weekend and would recommend it to anyone who needs a weekend break.

Elephant Leisure Resort - POOR Service
Very bad experience on arrival. No reception as they are busy building a reception. Our booking was not done. The builder on site helped us contact a representive of Elephant Leisure Resort who claimed that HOTELS.COM had not made a booking.By sure luck one chalet was open and after getting a very cold welcome they opened for us to stay. Fortunately I had all the paper work and proof of payment!!

Away in nature
Very cool location and quite relaxing. Needs some improvement on the interior and exterior of the cottage though as a lot of things were worn. It was quite windy while we were there and the wind blew most of the smoke coming the fireplace back inside which made everything smell like smoke, including our clothes in our suitcases. It did improve the feeling of being in a remote location, but still, this is probably not what you want.
Overall quite good and value for money.
