We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alpenrose. They were very quick to pick us up from the train station in the middle of the pouring rain. The room was nice with the balcony overlooking the waterfalls. Breakfast was beautifully laid out and had more than enough choices. Dinner was optional for 20 Francs. That was a deal for the lovely 4-course meal. My only complaint was the lack of a kettle or coffee pot in the room. It would have been nice to settle in at night and have a cup of tea.

Favorite hotel in Switzerland
This is our favorite place in Switzerland. I could have stayed here for weeks. We had the most delightful room with stunning balcony views that online photos do not do justice to! The hotel also has lovely common rooms and outdoor seating areas. We took advantage of dinner in their restaurant both nights of our stay which was excellent. They were kind enough to give us a perfect place to sit for our anniversary. The breakfasts are also outstanding. The staff is a very kind group and we were immensely impressed by Ursula. Absolutely loved this place. There is so much beauty in Wengen and this hotel is in exactly the right spot. Hope to return some day!

The interior deco is all wood which is what I like, very cozy and warm feel. Room size is adequate with amazing mountain views. Staff very friendly and very helpful in introducing activities and local outings. Breakfast and dinner are both delicious and of good value. This is one of the highlights in our Swiss travel and we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel in Wengen!
