Drifter Jack’s Hostel
It was a great price, but pretty cramped regarding space. Sleeping on the top bunk bed was awkward and difficult to navigate. Would have preferred a bottom bunk bed. The staff was really nice. Good sized kitchen. For a young backpacke, it’s perfect and at a great location.

I love this place
The best place I have ever stayed at. You meet so many different people and backgrounds. Would suggest this place to everyone: a nice kept secret in Austin. Workers are very knowledgeable about all events that may be happening in Austin. Meet some awesome new friends from different places around the world.

Nice affordable place to stay to get rest.
First time to ever stay in a hostel, it wasn't bad the group of guys that I bunked with were quite and respectful to everyone's comfort. Finding hostel was kinda of difficult but mainly because of me not knowing the area and the rain the night I arrived. Hostel staff was friendly and welcoming!

What I liked, What I didn’t like
What I liked: friendly staff, overall cleanliness, consistent hot shower, location (once I checked out, got outside, the smell of breakfast in the air was so great, wonderful food places in walking distance). The noise level from outside was not a problem (music from food places, cars, students in the streets) I never heard it. What I did not like: The bed and pillow were too soft for me, I woke up with back pain. I don’t mind the communal sleeping, but the noise level throughout the hall and when new customers were shown to their bunk was too much, sleep was interrupted up until midnight. I didn’t get a restful night of sleep. I am a student studying interior design and if they could invest in materials that could minimize the noise I might return, until then it wasn’t for me. Hope this helped.
