Tokyu Stay Shinjuku is located next to over 100 dining and bar options within about a 100 foot radius. It is a busy thoroughfare at night but provides easy access to multiple dining options, small bars, convenient stores, and the Shinjuku-Sanchome subway line.
The staff was the hotel was rather helpful and went out of their way to make sure that all my needs were taken care of. Plus, if I needed them to call me a cab or make a reservation they assisted. There are also a few front desk staff that can communicate in basic English which was rather helpful.
Tokyu Stay Shinjuku is not without its issues. For starters, the breakfast buffet sucked! If you are from the Western Hemisphere you will be sorely disappointed. Save your money and buy some breakfast snacks are the Family Mart or 7-11. Housekeeping is offered on a limited basis. They will dump your room trash and give you new towels upon request. However, a full turn-down service is not usually available. I stayed for ten days and they only changed my sheets once. Not a huge deal but not sanitary also. Also, your views of the city are not the best. My window view was less than spectacular. The real kicker was the lack of space in the room. I had a comfort single with a washer/dryer combo (takes four hours per cycle) and twin size bed with no space to store my clothes.
Overall, I would recommend Tokyu Stay Shinjuku if you plan on doing eating around your hotel and require easy access to the Subway.
