City-center hotel within easy reach of Theresienwiese

So Atlas acutally has FOUR properties located around the Munich train station, a detail that's suspiciously missing from their listings. I booked a hotel for a short overnight stay in Munich and searched for one that offered breakfast and a gym. Imagine my surprise to discover that though the Atlas listing said it offers both of those amenities, guests actually have to travel to one of their sister-hotels located half a block over and NO ONE bothered to tell me that. The check in clerk could barely get off his phone long enough to toss me a key to a room that didn't meet my reservation and then got an attitude when I asked for the room that I paid for. This is one of the worst hotel experiences I've had and will NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel wasn't great at all. We booked for a double room, 9 months in advance and they were still not able to give us one. Instead we were put into a twin room with matchbox sized beds. The breakfast restaurant is in another building across a busy road, and the road itself has to be the noisiest I've ever experienced. Ambulances, car horns, tyres screeching. And you have no choice but to leave the door/window open as there's no air con and no other way of air passing through the room. Stayed in another hotel in previous years and we don't expect much from hotels around Oktoberfest time as its so busy and expensive but this hotel really took the biscuit. Staff also quite unfriendly.

The staff was very gracious and helpful. The room was a little smaller than the one pictured when I was making the reservation, but it was still a decent size. The location was ideal for attending Oktoberfest. It is in a loud area, though.

Not sure how this is a 3 star hotel. The room is smaller than a cruise cabin, the bathroom shower didn’t even have a stopper in it, there was absolutely no decor in the room, and the beds were so uncomfortable we couldn’t really sleep either night. Location was great, but the praises stop there.

The street was so loud we couldn’t sleep at all. Even when we were four floors up.

Atlas hotel is not convenient for family stay, the rooms are noisy, the furniture is poor, kitchen appliances are old, not clear and smelly. Over all I am not recommending this hotel. We changed the hotel after few days of stay.

It was hot, but not their fault, however next hotel smartly had FANS: 10€ device makes all the difference. Atlas is along two 24-hr RACEWAYS, or that’s how it seemed, along w/ racers, also emergency vehicles every 1/2 hr all-night. Some facts regarding listed amenities: We chose hotel for Laundry facilities- FALSE: none in room & not available at hotel. “Free Toiletries” = shampoo dispenser in shower & bathroom sink. “self-parking” = discounted parking at inconvenient public parking garage 1/2 km away. Also NOBODY polices loading zone, so nearby businesses and random folks park there, and so unloading you are forced to double park, illegally park (do not leave your vehicle), or like we did on departure carry stuff 1/4+ mile away to car, and use the bike path to park and load the rest. Shower door was not properly assembled, so I fixed to ensure it would not injure family & was usable. Momma always said, say something nice ... “Nice elevator.” At least it had one.
