Vinpearl Villas
Let me start from check in experience, the staff were having trouble communicating in English and we were told that we need to pay 300,000 VND per night for our children that is above 4 years old although it was not clearly stated in the terms and conditions during booking. The additional payment does not include extra bed and the staff was trying very hard to explain it to us as to why we need to pay extra charges, only able to tell us that it is in their policy. After we checked in to our villa, we had to ask housekeeping to clean the floor again as it was sticky and dirty, although we had to wait 3 hours to have a our villa ready for check in. This is of course we arrived at 12pm which was earlier than the check in time. The water quality of the pool in the villa had bad water quality where the water was murky. The maintenance team came by at 5pm to clean the pool while our kids are already in the pool enjoying a late afternoon swim. They could have done it when the villa was being prepared for our check in. Breakfast was fairly good but crowded. Again, the staffs had problems communicating in English.

Luxurious stay
The overall hotel and back end staff are amazing. For those with allergies, the head chef ensures your meals are prepared under strict conditions and will develop a menu which will cater for all dietary needs - please ensure you ask to see the head chef, Alex, when you arrive so this is all promptly dealt with, they will even pack you food so you can explore the area. Relative to other resorts and restaurants, the English of the front desk staff is not so good. They seem to be a little inefficient too, don't know who to direct your questions too, even when is asked for "the manager" he didn't really have the ability to help, I ended up spending an hour of my holiday to have a request filled - so do be patient. Once I spoke to the General Manager, Brett I was much more satisfied that my concerns had been aired and understood. So be prepared to be very patient at front desk. The Spa was heavenly and reasonably priced, indulge if you have time. Once you have checked in, prepare for bliss, the rooms are opulent and very spacious, room amenities are outstanding. At the time of writing though, be aware that despite websites advertising that you can cook in this beautiful kitchen, you cannot, but the food is all very delicious. Villas are either beach front, or just a short walk. I felt very safe walking around the property by myself. After an initial hiccup, and being left very upset, in the end once I was heard, I think I would consider staying at this property again.

Peaceful, new, friendly staff
This strip of beach is under progressive development with new resorts. I understand the VinPearl is 2 - 3 years old. Facilities are quite nice / modern, overall very peaceful / relaxing, and they have a friendly staff you would expect in SE Asia. The location is great - in between Da Nang and Hoi An, about 20 minutes from the airport, and on a wonderful strip of uncrowded beach. Transportation is convenient to various sights, but while you're at the resort, you are away from all hustle & bustle. Kids club room was very helpful. The pools were really nice. The villas are GIGANTIC - we appreciated all the space. Those are the major positives. Improvement areas: 1) Because it's a newer construction, there were various minor maintenance issues during our stay. They were all promptly repaired, but still an annoyance. 2) The buffet got tiresome quickly; there's a lot of selection, but it doesn't change much day-to-day. It's not as fresh / flavorful as true local Vietnamese food. After 2 weeks, we had enough. 3) They don't want you bringing outside food to the resort, and it was also hard to find local stores with food worth smuggling in. Of course, if you don't eat from the buffet, food is expensive there.

Nice luxury resort
We lived in a Villa and really enjoyed it. Very spacious, quiet and clean. The swimming pools are next to the beach with magnificent ocean views. We also like the variety of foods offered at the buffet included for free in the room rate.

좋았으나 개미도 많습니다.
소문대로 좋았습니다. 다만 외출하고 돌아왔더니 침대에 날개미들이 우글우글 ㅠㅠ.. 전화해 침구를 바꾸어 달라고 했더니 바로 와서 바꿔 주었습니다. 아마 아침에 침구 교체할때 개미들이 묻어왔던 모양입니다. 바꾸고 나서는 괜찮았습니다. 그래도 개미들이 많은 편이니 조심하는 것이 좋겠습니다. 맛사지는 너무도 비추입니다. 친절하지만 그냥 문지르는 수준이었습니다. 이건 지극히 개인적 취향입니다. 굳이 받으신다면 매우 매우 매우 강하게로 요청하시는 것이 좋을 듯.. 조식은 종류가 많지는 않았지만 딱 먹을만한 것으로 구성되어 있어 좋았습니다.
