Akumal Bay Beach & Wellness Resort - All Inclusive

Food was amazing and service was good. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Pools are very small, outdated and were so cold we couldn’t stand to get in them. Ocean was warmer than pools. This is a great resort if you are on a budget. They desperately need to improve with more outlets in the room [only 2 in the room] and pools not nice like other results. Room service was excellent. You never have to wear a mask and not much COVID protection going on so if that’s what you want then this is the place. Again top notch for quality of food but very limited menu.

This resort is exactly what we want when we go to the beach. The beach itself is beautiful and this resort is located on the best stretch of beach in Akumal. All of the units face the water and several are very close to the beach. Almost all of the restaurants provide a view of the water and the food is very good. Pools are clean and well maintained, staff is over the top friendly, snorkeling is INCREDIBLE (turtles, rays, variety of fish). We will be back for round number 3.

I enjoyed the spin classes, paddle boarding, yoga and food. Staff is was fairly attentive.

The resort and the beach is mesmerizing. The staff makes you feel like you're home. The food was fabulous. I will definitely be returning to this resort. I have found my go to paradise!

This is a cozy resort on a spectacular beach. The rooms are all ocean front, the staff is so kind, and it just feels homey. We had some hiccups in these days of COVID with switching to menu service versus buffet, but there was plenty to eat and drink. We will be back soon!

This resort is a hidden gem! Amazing service. So professional, so friendly, so welcoming! I was there when the Hurricane Delta blew over. The resort staff prepared for the direct hit so well, that we didn't skip a beat. All precautions and safety measures were taken without disrupting the vacationers. So impressive! The food is great, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The beach and the reef right in front of the resort are unbeatable. Thank you, Akumal BB&W Resort

Akumal Bay was a beautiful property to stay at during the pandemic the staff was very safe and the customer service was amazing! We were hit by Hurricane Gamma during our stay and their first concern was safety with a smile. Patricia, Omero, Juan, and the rest of the staff were some of the nicest people I’ve met and I’m glad we picked Akumal Bay as our resort! P.S. we will be back to visit again

The people that work there go above and beyond to make sure your stay is amazing. I can’t say enough how great they are.

The guest rooms are extremely close to the beach, and all the resort amenities. And you can easily walk to the little town with shops and eating places. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. I was here 3 years ago, and many of the staff remembered me by name.
