Not a b&b
When I booked, I booked for a b&b however this place is not that. When I asked what time breakfast was I was told “oh there’s no breakfast now but there is a fridge in the hallway with some yogurts in!” The room was ok but very dated with cracked paint everywhere, the windows are not double glazed so literally heard everything! ripped net curtains, the shower was ridiculous I think I can urinate faster! I booked for two nights, and neither of them I slept more than an hour due to people shouting and whistling outside, and people banging doors - All night! I even heard someone in another room snoring like a bear! No joke! The bed was probably 15+ years old and sooo uncomfortable. Friends of mine was staying up the road in a lovely proper b&b and they heard about my experience and invited me for breakfast which was absolutely lovely, there place was called “The Stanley guest house” if you are looking for this area go there not this whetherbury hotel (which is neither a hotel or b&b!!) Unless you don’t want to sleep or eat then come here otherwise I wouldn’t bother.

Get what you pay for
I’ll start by apologising to the staff and guests during the week of 15-21 August for my unacceptable behaviour in the small hours one night after too many sherbets 😩. However my outburst was also triggered by the problems we had with room 5. First of all on trying to boil the kettle, the (tiny) TV went off as did the kettle. On checking the plug, the whole socket came away from the wall so we called the young man in charge to sort it out but he was clueless and said he’d get an electrician in in asap. Just after that the one working light of two in the bathroom stopped working and with having no extraction working it became a bit smelly at times. Oh and no hot water in the sink 😡. I was aware there was no cooked breakfast available but what was available was shameful; a little fridge on the landing with a few pancakes and yogurt, the latter which turned out to be off despite being in date suggesting the fridge wasn’t working properly either. Actually reading it all back makes me realise that this place shouldn’t be deemed a hotel at all but just what it is; a pub with a few guest rooms. Even Arnie would say “I won’t be back “
