Cliff House Maine - Cape Neddick
Very Good8.0
Higher would have been better
Room on the ground floor with the walk way right in front of the balcony - so had to keep curtain closed a good amount of the time. Reservations made months in advance and to get the ground floor. Reservations at the restaurant made weeks in advance - still did not get the table we had hoped for after a 30 minute wait.

Definitely STAY HERE!
AMAZING. All of it. Absolutely, positively worth the money. There was so much care taken to be sure everyone who stays here has what they need. From a Keurig station in the hallway, to apples and oranges, to fresh, local milk for coffee to pre-made bags of ice ... very accommodating! The room was PERFECTLY decorated - hints of nautical, very comfortable. The view was breathtaking from our balcony & not to mention we got to see some whale water spouts right from it! The hammocks by the pool were an awesome way to wind down the late evening. The fire pit was perfect for making s'mores (check w/ the front desk about how to do this!!). The evening entertainment by the fire was great - oldies but goodies. We ate breakfast at the Tiller early to avoid the crowds and we were not disappointed. We had a sea-side window seat and fast service. It was a very memorable overnight stay and worth EVERY penny. Now - there were two SMALL things that were the 'cons' (if we can even call them that & neither one would ever make me NOT stay again!) 1. As a couple who both wear an XL, we felt that it would have been much better to have a bigger size robe option (or at least a note that said we could request a bigger robe if we didn't like the fit that came standard w/ the room). 2. I found myself, on more than one occasion, wishing that I had a throw blanket - especially when the wind was wild and we were trying to wait and see if the whale pod had moved on or not. Don't let this stop you though!
