Mereva Tulum by Blue Sky

I loved the small size of this property - everything was always just a few steps away. Especially loved the 2 different pool options so when you needed a break from the heat on the beach you could take a plunge into either a pool still in the sun, or the beautiful jungle pool with a bit of shade.

The staff was amazing. Loved the menu of the kitchen and the breakfasts were delicious! Beautiful place.

Although the hotel wasn't quite as close to the downtown area of Tulum as we expected, it was a pretty quick taxi ride to where the fun nightlife was and very close to an amazing cenote, Casa Tortuga. The hotel was very clean, our room had a stellar view of the ocean, the food was good, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I'd recommend this hotel to couples and families who are looking for a quiet getaway.

Loved the location and the services. However, the first day the water in our room didn’t work. The following day the outlets went out. That same day the bathroom was not working properly and we were not able to flush the bathroom. The staff was very kind and fast to fix but having multiple issues back to back were very inconvenient.

The service is excellent, super attention in everything and every way! The master suite front beach that we were in is beautiful and very spacious. Some places at the hotel need a little upgrade. The second night we stayed the hole neighborhood lost power. So they took us to another hotel of the chain. Next day power was back and we went back. We really want to thank all the staff for how they took good care of us and the situation. Definitely we’ll go back and recommend Mereva Tulum.

We booked a King Suite Ocean Front and it was very close to the beach with ocean sounds and breeze. It was a King bed and a queen (which was a pull out bed). Good sized room. Bathrooms could be better, but had basics. Restaurant and its staff were good, although the included breakfast was limited it was good (we had omelette and hot cakes with cappuccino). Nobody used the pool, probably due to having a nice beach area for sunning. The swimming was a bit challenging due to the rocks (bring water shoes).

Everything was beyond expectation. The staff was amazing and so human when helping us navigate all the frenzies due to the Corona Virus update. The food was delicious, the place such a serene oasis. I hardly ever review anything, most of the time when it is terrible but they really deserve all the credit that is due.
