Exceptional 10.0
We were very comfortable with our room and the location. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The location made it very easy to walk to all the shops and restaurants.

Good 6.0
Central but overpriced
They made an effort to find me a room earlier than check in as I had travelled a long way. However, this is NOT value for money as a hotel. It was approx $300 a night with no breakfast and no air-conditioning and you could here the casino / gaming room when you opened the windows. It was a very small room as well with extremely minimal hanging space/ had to live out of the suitcase. In addition I went to breakfast one morning which was 10-15 euros depending on what you had - this was much cheaper than your quoted price with breakfast. And it was like having breakfast in a nightclub - subdues lighting in an underground room with no natural light - very weird as they have a courtyard that does not seem used much - they need to re-configure the layout. The best thing going for it was that it was very central.

Very good 8.0
Hotel in the thick of things.
The hotel was as advertised, the breakfast was amazing! We were only there one night and sadly it was quite warm....unusual for Ireland but we asked for fans and were given them quickly. Good location if you want to be in the thick of things.

Exceptional 10.0
Temple Bar Inn
This was a great place to stay. The reception area was very welcoming with couches set up throughout. The restaurant next to reception served great food for breakfast, The room was clean and cozy. The location was great - a five minute walk to Grafton St. and Trinity College, a block from the Liffey, Transportation was readily available nearby. The area was not noisy at night even though Temple Bar is in the heart of the city center and a partying area. I would definitely stay here again.

Good 6.0
Clean, good location, but wouldn't stay here again
I travel a lot and knew what to expect here: tight quarters in a party district. (Pack your earplugs if you're staying anywhere in Temple Bar.) I also know European hotels rarely have A/C or climate control, which seemed fine by me given the weather had been cool (and I don't have A/C in my own place). What I didn't expect is that despite the temperature outside never exceeding 17 C (low 60s F) both before and during our days there, it was over 27 C (low to mid 80s F) in the room all the time. The windows barely cracked open, and unfortunately the curtains were mounted to block 90% of the air flow. There was a barely functioning fan with a loud rattle in the room, but that wasn't replaced, so we were sweltering the whole time. I have no idea where the heat was coming from but we stayed out of the room as much as possible and struggled to sleep. The hotel is clean and the location is central and convenient. Given sleep was really all we needed to do at the hotel, though, I wouldn't stay here again.
