    Lovely room and service just hot!

    When arriving the access to the car park was blocked by a heavy police presence which made me feel a little uncomfortable. On check in the reception staff were lovely despite the fact she was very busy she could not have been more helpful, suggesting options for dinner and places to go. The room spotless and bed comfortable, the only reason I have marked down is the room itself was very very hot so we did not get the best nights sleep, the air conditioning did not work, reception brought a fan up but it made little difference. Again on checkout reception was lovely again.

    Very disappointing

    Nice enough hotel. However, main reason for booking was due to the pool, however they required £30 per person to use this, which was not clear when booking, paid £450 for a two night stay. Was in town for a wedding and booked an extra night so we could relax in the pool morning of the wedding. Thought id use the bath instead and this was not working either. Maintenance came to look at bath, said it needed a new part which be did not have, would not be fixed until after we left, got the feeling hed said this to many occupants of the room prior to us. That was the last we heard, no apology upon check out.

    Terrible service. Not worth the money for the room

    Terrible. I've never been told 'no' so often in a hotel. Arrived after a 5 hour drive with my 9 year old Son and wanted to get some refreshments only to be told the bar/restaurant was closed 'due to unforeseen circumstances' and they didnt know when it would reopen. Asked for room service then....was told that wasn't available either, but could order from deliveroo! Asked them to send the deliveroo driver up...'No' can't do that...so had to leave my Son in the room on his own. Next day wanted to go to the swimming pool (one reason we booked this hotel, as my Son wanted to swim)....'No' .....its only for over 16 years (not clear when I booked). Bar/ Restuarant opened the next day. Ordered a Fanta and Peroni. 'No' they didnt have either of those in stock. Asked for the food menu....'No', the kitchen is still closed. A member of staff told me that this had been the situation for a while. Not an 'unforeseen situation' then. They should inform guests BEFORE they travel if facilities are restricted. Not happy. I wish I'd booked somewhere else that has actual hotel services fully open!

    The reception and bar area was nice, all looked fairly new/ looked after however my room was tired. Nothing special about it for the price compared to others I have stayed at in the city. Breakfast was good, but just really poorly managed. Wasn’t enough food laid out for the amount of people having breakfast. The queues was often out the door to the room as
