Wonderful ambience with unique style and antiques all around. Only a two block walk to the beach, five minutes to Forodhani market. A good sanctuary among the busyness of Stone Town. No alcohol served or allowed on the premises. Food is generally good.

The Dhow Palace was a great place to stay, convenient to everything that Stone Town has to offer. The staff is amazing, very friendly and super helpful in organizing taxis and tours, and recommending activities as needed. The breakfast was also plentiful with varying options on a daily basis, unlike some places that offer the same exact things everyday. Housekeeping also came to the rooms on a daily basis to spray against mosquitos as a safety precaution. This was out first time in Zanzibar and we were there as a group for a couple of days. We wanted to experience different types of accomodations, and also had booked an Airbnb for a part of our stay, a decision we immediately regretted once we saw both places. Even after checking out, we still ended going back to Dhow Palace almost on a daily basis for one reason or another for the remainder of our stay in Zanzibar. Highly recommend.
