Always a zen moment in the lobby
Always a great time in this hotel. The lobby just calms you, it's quiet and clean. The neighborhood has so many different restaurants and small little shops. I love how eco friendly it is now. The wifi got better vs a few years ago when we first stayed there. The breakfast is very good. I had dinner in the same restaurant as well and it was well presented as usual and tasted so delicious! Enjoyed our time here in the hotel.

We are a family in 3 rooms for 6 nights inc. Breakfast. After first day we asked to cancel the breakfast for all the rest 5 days as we couldnt eat anything . The food is not for western. We were told we cant cancel the breakfast so we didnt enter the restaurant for breakfast for the rest 5 days ( 3 rooms). A lot of money was paid for nothing

Loved everything about it
Love everything about the hotel from ambience, customer service, cleanliness to convenience… I felt like I walked into a spa the moment I entered the hotel lobby, it smelled so good and calming I instantly felt more relaxed. We booked 3 rooms and were all upgraded to 2 queen beds from one, so our rooms were very spacious. Hotel staff were all very attentive, friendly and professional. All the hotel staff were well trained, professional, friendly and sweet.

We loved this property. From the traditional Japanese entrance, the gardens, public baths, beautiful breakfast provided to the attentive staff. We had a coin washer/dryer on our level. Situated ‘downtown’, 5-7 minutes walk from Shijo Station, the markets and with sensational restaurants literally around the corner it was perfect. The rooms were large. We would book here again in a heartbeat.
