Very Pleasant Surprise
I was very pleasantly surprised when I pulled into Hotel Aeropuerto. There is an oasis of greenery in the middle of San Jose (Alejuela). I really liked the big trees and peaceful setting. Let me start with the obvious. I haven’t stayed at a hotel near the airport yet that is easy and direct to get to. When I looked online it said that this hotel was close to the airport. The circuitous route made it about 15-20 minutes away. Tourism has been hit hard by covid. Only a few other guests were present the night I stayed there. Their restaurant is closed but they will order delivery Italian or Chinese. The proprietor and his wife were very friendly and helpful. In the room were little touches like decoratively folded towels, etc. You could tell a lot of effort went into making your stay as pleasant as possible. The internet was 10 Mb down and 3 Mb up. Plenty to watch YouTube with.

Great Stop Arriving in San Jose
Perfect place to spend the night arriving in, or leaving from San Jose. On site restaurant and pool are great and the staff was very friendly.

One night stay after late arrival into SAN Jose. Hotel staff went out of their way to prepare a lite supper for us even tough restaurant was closed. Location was close to airport and grounds are scenic. Would stay again when traveling in and out of SAN Jose!

Stay somewhere else. This hotel is very tired and rundown. So overpriced for what you get. You can stay somewhere nicer for about the same price. Also the Air conditioning in the room hardly worked.

I like that they had a free shuttle to the airport didn’t like that they do not specified that is available only every hour on the half hour and it’s not as close to the airport as I expected. Also no elevator to 2nd floor and no one help with luggage

Hi, this place has a lovely garden with mango trees and a pool. The building is fairly nice, the rooms are decent by CR standard s... the food was not great.,. The groundskeeper was making too much noise at 8:00am! The bed was not. So comfortable.. The plus is that it’s close to the airport too.
