Perfect stay with super service and gorgeous room
We found the suites perfect for a week long stay as we had a small kitchenette and washer/dryer inthe room. The valet service was speedy and every single staff member we met were very helpful and friendly. The room was promptly and spotlessly cleaned daily! The hotel is in a great position near all major shops and restaurants too.

Luxury at the Ritz Carlton Residencies
The Ritz Carlton Residences in Honolulu is a beautiful property, centrally located, with first class amenities and excellent service overall. We had rented a studio unit on a high floor in the Diamond Head building, which had been recommended, but after we settled in the room we realized the room was quite a bit smaller than the descriptions in various sites had less us to believe, and also the deep soaking tub was not the usual full size tub we assumed but a Japanese soaking tub which only the very limber could get in and out of. For those not familiar with this type of tub, it requires climbing about three feet into a very deep bowl and then sitting up in the bowl—not lying down—no room for that. We were offered the option of upgrading to a deluxe studio for an additional fee which we accepted. The deluxe studio which we then stayed in for several more days was much larger with an extremely spacious balcony overlooking the ocean and a much larger living area—not to mention a much better tub. So the deluxe studio is certainly preferable if it can be managed. Also the studio (in both cases) has deluxe fixtures and appliances throughout—lovely amenities of every sort. But the very best feature is the beautiful balcony with a direct view of the ocean. And for those so inclined, the infinity pools looked delightful.

Absolutely everything you would expect from RC, the only observation is that even though two pools one which was very kid friendly and one which was supposedly serene, the staff did not seem to have the authority to enforce no children so consequently the serene pool is not very serene.

Comfortable Oasis
I agonised over where to stay in Waikiki with my husband and our 2yo daughter, but was very happy with the Ritz-Carlton. It was perfectly located in the middle of Waikiki, so it was an easy 10 min walk down to the zoo and up to the Hilton Hawaiian Village up the other end. Also close to trolley and bus stops. The one bedroom apartment was huge, and the in room washer/dryer and appliances were great and made our stay much more comfortable. Bed was super comfy also. The room was cleaned numerous times a day which was great with emptying nappy bins and vacuuming sand. The free beach bags and water offered at the concierge were also super helpful. It was great being able to access Netflix directly on the TV but you do need to sign in with your own account. it was a little annoying if you left you room for a long time as it would log you out, so you would need to log in again every-time you wanted to use it. But this isn't really a major hassle. We didn't end up swimming much at the beach near the hotel as it was quite rocky as the reef is close to shore there. We walked 10mins down to Kuhio beach which was safe and well protected for our daughter. Close to lots of shops and restaurants. Staff were all so lovely and keen to help. Wifi was great, and didn't need to sign in too use it. A beautiful home away from home, would stay again :D

Ritz Carlton is a great place.
The Ritz Carlton is a beautiful facility in a great location with a very service oriented and friendly staff. Notwithstanding the foregoing, I was disappointed in the quality of the food at its restaurant and from room service. However, there are many good restaurants in the area.
