It was nice, newly renovated room. It didn't have much charm and the WiFi didn't work so well.

Clean modest hotel
It's a nice little hotel, no bigger than hotels of this style are in small European towns. Everything in Venice is overpriced, so same here. But the location is perfect, it's in the middle of the old district, very close to water bus stops, corner cafes, shops, several museums, churches, etc.

Hotel Salute - good for short quick stay
Arrived very late at Venice airport (9:30 pm) and had to wait half hour for the water bus. It takes 1.5 hours from the airport to the Zettere stop where the hotel is. A rather long ride and then a 5-7 minute walk to the hotel. Suggestion: do NOT take a late flight. Venice is safe but as a tourist it's still scary walking unknown streets in the dark trying to find the hotel. It's hard deciphering street names and numbers. Hotel room is way smaller than picture shows. The room was comfy but very small: a double bed, small table and closet, so Minimal space to move around. The bathroom is bright, well lit and spacious. The hotel seemed to be under maintenance so hallways were dusty but room was very clean. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was okay, cereal, croissants, cheese, tea/coffee and juices. They also had scrambled eggs (too watery for my liking) and bacon which I did not try. Hotel Salute is ideal for a short sight-seeing trip and you need a place to lay your head for the night.

Not for families with small children
We didn't stay because it was difficult to find and to carry luggage through Venice with children is not recommended.

Difficult to locate
Despite wandering the streets of venice for hours and asking many different people for assistance I was unable to locate the hotel, so it was a total waste of my money
