Great location and friendly, helpful staff
Atlantico Hotel is set back a couple of blocks from the Marina/port but all the better for it (don't confuse it with the upstart waterfront restaurant of the same name). Being back means you are very close to many restaurants and bars but not stuck with the noise. Close to all the sights on the peninsula and walkable into wider Punta del Este. The hotel is clean and stylish, the pool area is quiet and pretty. There isn't a restaurant but staff are helpful and happy for you to bring some things from outside with you. The reception team also provide a really comprehensive guide to restaurants and sights in the area, which is appreciated. The effort shows. Note that car parking is limited and a bit of a squeeze but it is usually possible to find somewhere to park on the street nearby. Only docked a point overall because our room occasionally had a slight chemical smell to it but this aired out fine. Overall, definitely recommended and one of our best stays in Uruguay!

This is a boutique hotel and for the price it was a nice surprise (Punta del Este tends to be overpriced). You should not expect luxury, but I found a nice room with partial ocean view and a comfy bed, good breakfast and a fantastic secluded patio with a pool and a tikki bar. It is very close to the port and the main street of Punta so it's very convenient for shopping and dinning. You can't walk to the beach but you are just a short uber away to both the brava and the mansa beaches. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

perfect vacation
Absolutely perfect location at the tip of Punta, 3 minutes walk to the marina where one can see plenty of sea lions, 1 minute walk to the lighthouse, Atlantic on both sides, plenty of very good restaurants. Simple but very clean hotel with good breakfast. We had a delightful stay.
