Palais Hansen Kempinski Vienna - Vienna
The hotel was gorgeous. Our room was huge and quite comfortable with 3 adults. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was our best meal of our vacation. We also had drinks in their martini bar. The service was excellent. The bellmen were extremely responsive and helpful.

Very Good8.0
smart hotel - very nice staff
Very nice hotel - but our room was rather dark facing into a courtyard with little natural light despite the large window this was a disappointment especially as I stayed at the Kempinski in Dresden & had the most wonderful bright suite with a fabulous outlook - however we had not requested a suite this time & that was a mistake. The bathroom was wonderful - very high spec. There is a lack of outside areas which was a shame as the weather was glorious. The interior courtyard appeared to be constantly in the shade. I found the wifi very complicated.

Lack of attention to details
Unfortunately this Kempinski has lack of attention to details which are important in case of this kind of hotel standard: -Ipad provided in room is very slow when opening pages. -In room large breakfast picture on Ipad does not match the reality: there was no champagne on the table, instead of one boiled egg and omelette there was two boiled eggs, sugar was in sachets instead of nice sugar bowls, marble cake was also missing. -Room service is far from perfect, one day they can bring you water without night mat, next day you will find only night mat without water and so on. I had to make them a notice of those kind of mismatches every day. -We were told that Kempinski has a best breakfast in that part of the town which is far from the true, as for 5 star hotel breakfast is average and does not worth 42 EUR if you do not book it for the whole stay(otherwise 35 EUR).Yes,champagne is included if you are fan of Moet, yes, few Asian snacks from menu, but that´s it. Rest is average 4 star variety.Pita bread was dry, probably from last day, moderate choice of cheese, fish and meat, very limited choice of desserts. Fresh squeezed juices cheered me up a bit and the fact that breakfast is open till 2 pm on weekends. -Spa itself is very small, lack of air, pool area has only two beds and couple of chairs, showers are old and some of them are a bit rusty. Strongest side is the reception, I would give those people my endless respect and bow, they are professionals who are able to listen.
