A disappointment
I rarely ever leave reviews but I must do so for the Naka Phuket. If you stay, I would not advise you to book the Napa Suite. My boyfriend and I stayed here and had the most disappointing experience.
Their buggy system is inefficient and makes the whole stay extremely inconvenient.
The Napa Suite looked like a motel room that had clearly not been renovated for years. To be paying 2500 HKD for a room like this per night is unacceptable. It "boasts" an outdoor tub but housekeeping didn't clean it before we arrived, there were leaves and twigs everywhere the floor on the balcony was dirty.
Found hair in the shower and the bed mattress was lumpy. Airconditioner was old and so was the TV. Room was extremely unwelcoming and if you arrive at the building complex past 11, its pitch black and you can hardly find your way to the room.
It's clear that the hotel probably struggled during covid and is trying to make up for it now by cutting corners. The toiletries all don't match (i.e. the toothbrush packages looked like they came from two different hotels).
The hotel is also severely understaffed, the pool bar only had 2 ladies working both the beach and the pool which made it difficult to put orders in etc.
Unless the hotel has a serious renovation I would not advise you to stay here. I'm not sure what the villas are like, maybe they're nicer but the hotel is old and they've missed out on a lot of the finer details that you'd expect when paying what you are paying.
