A room with a view
Such a unique setting and special architecture with lovely service. The staff was so gracious and welcoming. You could really tell the staff wanted to make their guests happy and to enjoy their stay. I truly loved walking through the public spaces admiring all the architectural elements and craftsmanship. The food was really good as well and they had a really nice selection of wines.

Poas Volcano Lodge is a beautiful property! It is so welcoming and it feels like you are coming home when you arrive. The property sits on 10 acres in the hill country overlooking an incredible view of the valley and 3 volcanoes. If you have the opportunity, stay in one of the volcanoe view rooms, you won't be disappointed. Breakfast and dinners in the dining room are slow and intimate with fresh farm-to-table choices. The staff is all local, and are very kind and accomodating. With the slow paced feel, there are still some things to do on the property as well as in the surrounding area. Be sure to grab the boots and walking sticks and wander through the 10 acres, it feels like you've stepped into another world! Cozy up with a book by the small fire in the great room. Do some bird watching with their binoculars. Play games down in the game room. Sit out on the grass and enjoy the views. In the area you can tour a local strawberry farm, tour the Doka Coffee Farm, peek into Poas Volcano, spend a day at La Paz Waterfall Gardens, have coffee at the local coffee house, and so much more!
