Day-glow fluorescent green room
I have just got home from a 3 night work stay I purposely booked a room with no window as I wanted a room which was completely dark in order to sleep. Below is a photo taken in room with no lights on! The bright green spot light is literally insane! I spoke to reception the morning after that first night and was told nothing could be done due to it being a health and safety requirement due to having no window- this is simply ridiculous, I understand a need to highlight an exit in case of fire but this beyond excessive and as someone who stays in various hotels on an almost weekly basis for work purposes have never come across anything like this. The person on reception basically said nothing could be done so I asked to be moved (assuming even a room with light coming through a window would be better than this) or to have a refund on the next two nights booking so I could go somewhere else I would be able to actually sleep, but was told neither requests would be possible without speaking to a manager. I was told he would do this and leave a message for me when I returned after work- this did not happen and the new reception person knew nothing about it and I was then advised the hotel was fully booked. If they absolutely have to have the rooms lit day-glow green all through the night then they should warn people! Complaint sent in but no response

Modern Room with all the necessities provided.
We chose the No Window option as we had theatre and dinner plans. Our room had a very comfortable, large bed and good climate control. The shower was clean and refreshing. The room decor was modern. Big TV, plenty of power points.
