Although when you check in you are told that smoking on property is against the law, there’s a lot of smoking going on. Not for families.

Check-in was unpleasant. Two clerks were present. One was dealing with a customer. The other had just finished with a customer so I stepped up to her workplace. She did not look at me. She did not talk to me. She got on the phone for a moment as I waited. When she finished, she still failed to recognize my presence. She then grabbed her drink and left. Not a word to me on leaving. She needs some more training on how to treat a customer. Also, parking was nightmarish. I was directed to a lot around the corner, and when I arrived, the gate was shut and the lot apparently closed. I had to circle around the neighborhood to find an open lot. The time was about 8 pm.

Checked in and found my room had sticky floors and no large towels. The front desk quickly assigned us to a new room that had non-stickly floors and one large towel. Additional towels were sent up when I reported the oversight. Room was nice with some exercise equipment-appreciated since the exercise room was closed for COVID. I was disappointed that the bar and restaurant were also closed because of COVID. This is not unusual but we were hoping for convenient facilities. The website appeared to show an open restaurant AND there were signs in the lobby advertising the dining. Purchased a room rate that included parking. We were surprised that the parking was at another hotel and it was difficult to get the car into the garage as cars were backed up, double parked down the street waiting to get in. We were afraid to take the car out during our stay and ended up using Uber to get to our friends...an expense we had not anticipated. It was easy to retrieve it when we checked out.

I have a hard time believing that this was a "4-star" hotel. The building seems a bit run down overall, and it looked as if someone had tried to break into my room prior to my arrival (see photo). Guests were not respectful of wearing masks or keeping their space in the elevators.

The parking was called free on Hotels.com, but the room rate was more then a room without parking. The room was listed with breakfast, there kitchen and breakfast was closed, due to COVID. They expect you to go multiple days without fresh towels. On our second night we came back to only one used towel on the hook, nothing else for two people. lights above desk didn’t work, and the refrigerator was questionable, lots of water in it. The staff was very nice

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The room & hotel is clean. Great location. BUT... the room is TINY. Half of the fitness equipment was missing. And there is literally NO space to use it anyway. There was no work surface either. I think there was a standing desk, but it was missing/broken and no one bothered to replace or not sell that room. So I was stuck with 6” triangular shelves in corner by bed, the window sill, and the bathroom sink. Eating dinner meant standing in front of the bed with food on the bed. Room was also crazy hot and setting temp to 60 still blasted heat. The fake cork-looking floor desperately needs replaced. And AND no stirrers for coffee.

When I first arrived at the hotel on Nevins St. I had the most pleasant Experience with Areanna(at the front desk 10 Starz), and from that day forward she served me with nothing but Resepct, was Very Courteous. I then met Simone(5 Starz)who just smiled, and can make a difference in someone's life who has had a hard day at work as I for traveling as a nurse. I met Tiffany(10 Starz)and a next young lady(10 Starz) whom I didn't catch her name but was Ever So Courteous! My last stay I was trying to call the hotel for me being in Ohio and traveling back to Brooklyn for the next job, I was greeted by an unruly young woman by the name Sukyiana. Su made me feel *Very Uncomfortable* and placed me in a filthy room, which smelled like smoke(both cigarettes/marijuana)that would seep into my clothing and make them not only smell but look unclean like the room. I asked for a quiet room and there was noise constantly. I called ahead of time to make the hotel know I was running late to check in which I'm usually there no later than 12noon for me working overnite, but being I traveled to a next state. Su kept hanging the phone up and putting me on very long holds. As I wanted to take a shower, there were any towels let alone a floor towel and wash cloths.(Good thing I bring my own cosmetics/towels) Training needs to be updated on those who let their badges go to their heads. Don't come to work if you're not ready to tackle a multitude of task and deal with the public!

Arrived at the hotel and they couldn’t locate my reservation. Then they gave me a room that didn’t have the correct workout accessories. They placed us at the end of the hall with very little amenities.
