reat venue and experience
Venue is superb and proximity to the Cathedral fantastic. Breakfast was like that of a 5 star hotel. Very welcoming staff and lovely facilities. This isn't a conventional hotel, but for an overnight stay in the precincts of the Cathedral is was fabulous.

Fabulous location
Overall an excellent stay in a fabulous location. The only thing I could fault was that while the breakfast ingredients were good quality it was served warm

Best location in Canterbury
Fabulous location, beautiful surroundings, nice room, friendly staff; but short and very hard bed, which was only real issue we had. Breakfast was very good with excellent local ingredients. I’ve stayed at most of the city centre hotels in Canterbury and this has the best location but Abode’s beds are much better. Good to get free access to the cathedral and lovely in the Cathedral grounds in the evening when the crowds go home.

Excellent place to stay in Canterbury.
Very pleasant stay. Could use a 'makeup' mirror in the bathroom (I use eyedrops). Extra blankets for cold nights too, I don't like turning up the heat at night.

Quaint and interesting place.
The Lodge whilst quite humble, is very clean and tidy. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. the breakfast was wonderful.

Very nice hotel, great location within cathedral’s grounds, rooms starting to get a little tired, staff friendly and helpful. Entrance to car park could be better sign posted, make sure you read the instructions on the hotels website before you go!!

Wonderful stay
We travelled around the UK for two weeks and the quality of our stay here rates at the very top. The friendly and professional staff that greeted us and helped us during our stay was wonderful. The breakfast was one of our favorites throughout our journey. The location and the room was fantastic. Looking out from our hotel window to see that cathedral view was breathtaking and I couldn't help smiling each time I heard the bells toll. The room was clean and spacious. There is no question that the next time we travel to Canterbury, we will be staying here!
