I recently stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton Austin Airport and wanted to share my experience.
First, I’d like to recognize Kyle at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, he was very attentive and accommodating to our needs, especially since I was traveling with two older ladies. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable, even offering complimentary waters. His customer service truly stood out and is worth acknowledging.
Unfortunately, the rest of the stay did not meet the same standard. On Saturday (3/21/26), I informed a daytime staff member that our room had not been serviced. His response was a smirk and a casual comment that housekeeping might come by later because they were running behind. This came across as unprofessional and dismissive.
When we returned to our room around 9:00 PM that evening, it still had not been serviced. With four guests staying in the room, we were left without fresh towels and toiletries. After calling the front desk, I was told I would need to come down and pick them up myself due to short staffing. However, upon arriving downstairs, I was then told the items had already been sent up. This inconsistency was frustrating and felt like a lack of coordination among staff.
Additionally, the breakfast experience could use improvement. For a typical hot breakfast buffet, the quality was underwhelming. The scrambled eggs were watery, and the juices tasted diluted and lacked flavor.
