Absolutely Amazing!
Hotel Duc de Borgogne was absolutely amazing!! Hotel is an iconic house of the 16th century! Hotel gave us an upgrade and view was lovely. Room was charming, pristine clean, and comfy!! Bathroom was very modern and spacious with amenities, hot water and fresh smelling towels - Loved the contrast of the modern bathroom with the antique look premises. We had lunch at the hotel restaurant which offered beautiful view of one of the most iconic canals in Brugge; lunch was exquisite! Breakfast was also delicious with a variety of breads, ham and cheese and a pouched egg and strong well-brewed coffee! Staff was very professional and helpful. We had a great stay and next time in Brugge we will definitely come back to the Duc of Borgogne!

Make a reservation for dinner!
The location was extraordinary, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, restaurant was very good. (Regardless of where you stay in Bruges, MAKE A RESERVATION FOR DINNER. One night we tried to wing it and EVERYTHING was booked.)

This hotel is a beautiful property backing onto the canal. The room that we stayed in overlooked the water with views of swans swimming, and lovely old trees. We were welcomed with a smile and efficient service. A wonderful breakfast was included as well. Our room was spacious with a well appointed bathroom. This property has quite the history in Bruge and is worth the time to learn about the building in this courtyard. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within a few minutes walk.

We did not like not knowing it did not have air conditioner in the rooms and there was no elevator. The shower was really bad as the roof was inclined on top of the tub and you could not take a shower standing up. The room was advertised as with great view to the canals and it was a small window that you needed to clim two steps to see something.

A little gem in the heart of the old city.
Really pretty and individual hotel right in the middle of Bruges. Its a long walk from the railway station (especially if you have rolling suitcases as it is mostly cobbled streets) so although the route is pretty I'd get a cab. Lots of character in the hotel. Quite a narrow staircase up to the rooms. No air conditioning but they did provide a fan. Lovely staff on reception.
