I have been here 30 years ago , and the hotel is still charming , we enjoyed our stay
Great location with a friendly staff. Very authentic feel if you are looking for a building with character that is pefecrtly situated in the center of the town.
We love this hotel, the beds were very low and the bathroom was very small but it was so worth staying in this historical place. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The location was Superb.
It felt like you were stepping back in time. Part of the hotel was built in the 1300’s. The staff was extremely kind. A very nice breakfast was included.
We had an amazing stay. WiFi not as expected
We had a great one-night stay at Alte Thorschenke. The hotel has a historic and classic German vibe, which is exactly what we were looking for. The original portion of the hotel was built in 1322! The beds are comfortable, the staff very welcoming and helpful, breakfast was included that was a very nice touch. I would definitely return!
Sewer gas in bathroom the entire stay
Old historical property in heart of town. Very clean but a bit outdated. Bed comfortable but could benefit from either bottled water or tea/coffee facility. Breakfast adequate but had been pretty much cleaned out without refills by the time we ate. Payable parking is available a couple of streets away. Location is very good with lots of bars, restaurants nearby and close to the Mosel river with boat trips and nearby castle. Cochem is well worth a visit, not least to sample the lovely regional wine.
