Queenstown Hilton's located about 10mins drive away from town. They'll tell you that there's free street parking at Doubletree Hilton next door, but it's quite misleading since there's only like perhaps 4-6 lots across the 2 properties to share, and chances of getting one is almost impossible. Valet's available at $20/day which I'd consider reasonable. No complimentary water is available in the room because apparently "Water in New Zealand is portable and drinkable from the tap". If you order room service, there's a ridiculous $5 tray charge levied on your bill, which I don't understand why they're charging me. A tray for room service is for Hilton's service staff's convenience, not mine. The lakeview's a little impeded because you get the view of Hilton's own flat rooftop with ventilation pipes and all. You still get a view of the QT lake, but I'd say it wasn't jaw dropping. Other than that, everything else has been stellar, I'd say to the staff's credit, not the Hilton brand. Housekeeping is top notch, we had a record of 4 days or so where staff replied to our notes to them. Valet team's nice and funny too. Front desk is a little bit more stiff rather than warm, but professional all the way. Would I stay again at this property? Probably not. Though we've grown used to the 10min drive back home, half of which unlit at night and a little creepy, but I may choose somewhere else with a better view, or just in city center itself.

This is an excellent hotel with a great view of the surrounding mountains and tranquil Lake Wakatipu. Rooms are well furnished and stocked with a host or amenities akin to an well- stocked apartment. There were some hiccups though, like a busted shower head that broke off and dropped during my shower, and a mix-up with my in-room dining orders. Also, there was a kitchenette that came with a fridge, stove, hood, pots, pans, cutlery ... but no plates or bowls. weird? :D That being said, these are very minor hiccups to me and the exemplary service provided by the hotel and its fantastic staff (especially housekeeping) more than made up for the minor quirks.

You might miss the turning into the hotel and there may not be enough parking lots come peak season, but other than that, everything else was good. It's a pretty new hotel and I must say it's well-maintained. You wake up to a nice and serene scenery. Love the spacious room, bathroom, and the fireplace which you can control with a remote control.

Good location , easy reach to shopping mall and city central. Please do not forget wetsuit if you would like directly swimming into the lake, the temperature of water about 9 to14 degree.

When we arrived at the Hilton the person who had our room before us had spilt something on the carpet and it was being cleaned. The wonderful reception staff helped us to move to another room which had a lovely view of the lake. They went out of their way to help us to stay in this room even though it was a busy weekend for the Hilton. Special thanks to Mohamed who was really kind and helpful. We loved the vegan pizza we could order there too -- ask for vegan food and the kitchen will help out. The pool was wonderful and we loved being able to sit on the lakefront and have cocktails each evening. The watertaxi was easy to get across to Queenstown and it was a great trip on the water. Best of all, we loved the super friendly ducks on the Hilton lakefront. They were always amusing, especially the little Peking duck. We had a really relaxing and chilled stay. Loved our room and the breakfasts and everything about the Hilton Queenstown Resort and Spa! We've been before and we'll be back again! Oh and the hotel is super clean.

We stayed two nights there. It was fun to use a water taxi to go to town, if you stay at Hilton hotel you can get a special price, $5 normally $10 single way. The hotel room is a good size with a nice bathroom. Hotel staff was friendly and kind. We will stay there again!

Didn't like their rooms service. The room wasn't cleaned properly. Everyday ended up complaining. The Air-conditioning wasn't working. Looked after that after three days of staying in heat. The things were not top up in the toilet and the kitchen for tea or coffee. Would have been nice if things were acknowledged after one complaint.

Room service was not good from the second day of our stay. We had to ask for toiletries etc. On site parking shouldn’t be charged extra. Dining options are limited
