The bed was comfortable, and it was quick getting to the airport at 5am, but it was located much further out from the center of Alajuela and the airport than I realized. While the website seems to offer airport transportation, it was only for one way, and I had to pay US$15 for a cab during rush hour. Friendly staff, but next time I'll spend a bit more money and stay closer to the town center/SJO.

I porter would have been helpful. I had to take my bags to the second floor on my own, no elevator either. Overall, the hotel was fine.

Cheap hotel close to SJO airport
They gave me a room facing the street. There were dogs barking and loud people until the wee hours of the morning. Open air inlet at top of headboard had no screen allowing mosquitos in that buzzed around you and bit you all night. Loud people in small lower lobby were smoking and very loud with no staff around to see what was happening. Parking was poor and hard to access. Don't go to this place unless you are desperate!!

Vi ankom kl. 01.00 til et hermetisk lukket hotel, men ejeren var klar på telefonen, så vi blev hurtigt lukket ind. Lækker morgenmad i skøn baghave til hotellet.

Et helt greit og enkelt flyplasshotel som man kan bruke ifbm med overnatting til og fra flyplassen. Vi ble veldig godt tatt i mot. Og selv om hun som tok oss i mot ikke kunne et ord engelsk, ble det meste forklart via google translate. 200 meter lenger opp i gaten var det også mulighet for å spise,(minirestaurant, tica svar på gatekjøkken. Det var også anledning til å bestille takeaway til hotellet fra en annen pizzarestaurant. Rommet inneholdt to store senger. TV, AC, kjøleskap. Grei plass til bagasje. Minus med at det ikke var varmt vann i dusjen. Samt litt maur på gulvet. Men etter to uker i Costa Rica så blir man vant til det meste av dyr og insekter. Dette trekker litt ned, men ticaer (CostaRicanere) er så genuint hjelpsomme og hyggelige, så det veier alltid opp for litt dårlig standard.
