No internet in the guest rooms. Other than that, perfect!

Just OK, not what we expected
Overall we were not satisfied with Casa Luna. The positives were the pleasant and helpful staff, the good food in the restaurant, the nice grounds in a rain forest/jungle setting, and the swimming pool and outdoor jacuzzis. Unfortunately were were not happy with the room. We had planned to stay five nights, and with that long a stay it's nice to be able to unpack a little. There was not a single drawer in the room, except for one small one in the night stand between the two queen beds. We only needed one bed, so we laid out most of our clothes on the other bed and on the floor. Bathroom was similar, with no countertop space to put anything. Perhaps the worst disappointment was the WiFi, which was non-existent in the room, even though the website implies it is an in-room feature. The room did have a nice balcony where we were told the WiFi reception was better, but it was intermittent at best. Maybe OK for an email without attachments, but I had to sit in the lobby to download my morning newspaper. Cable TV, also advertised as an in-room feature, didn't work well, with a snowy picture and only one channel in English that alternated between CNN and MSNBC. It rained almost constantly during our stay, so it would have been nice to have a connection to the outside world, either via cable TV or internet.

Very good
Good pool. Helpful and friendly service, particularly at reception. The tuna with mash and the sea bass with prawns at dinner were both delicious. We were given a ground floor room designed for handicapped people. The shower was very large but the basin was 2ft 6” off the ground; a tad impractical if your’re 6” and not in a wheelchair...

Hot tubs needed to be hotter. Everything else was wonderful. Even appreciated that there was no internet in the rooms.

Beautiful, clean property. Large rooms and bathroom. Very good breakfast and dinner at their restaurant. Strong quiet AC, strong, hot shower. Grounds are beautiful. Very quiet and private. Good option in La Fortuna. 30min walk to La Fortuna waterfall on nice road that felt safe. Had no problems getting uber from the hotel. Value for money is excellent.

The hotel is a nice hotel. Beautiful landscaping, swimming pool and spa, good breakfast. But the room is not good. There is no table and chair in the room. You have to put your luggage on the floor. Also, I found small ants in the room every day.
