4/5 star stay! Good for its location.
It was a good stay. I like the hotel fantastic location which is within famous attractions and nearby eating establishment. Customer service is of good standard. Room is clean with working equipments, although there was a minor door problem which was solved within a few hours. Daily breakfast is a decent spread of breads, cakes, cereals, fruits, yogurt, eggs, ham, cheese etc. and is the same everyday. My major dislike is the wifi which is exceptionally slow at certain hour and the refrigerator which is almost not cold. The hotel also only gives 1 welcome bottled water. Most other hotels would have given 1 every day.

In the Heart of Athens
Always friendly, with helpful staff. Great location in the centre of Athens, comfortable rooms that make a great base for visiting both the ancient and social heart of Athens.

Served our needs
The area does not look the best when walking to some of the recommended restaurants by the hotel. The hotel is 1 block away fro Athenia Street which was our main street for walking. We found so many places in walking distance from the hotel. We wanted a inexpensive hotel between our road trip and our Greek Island tour. The hotel met all our requirements. The staff at the desk were very helpful in telling us how to get to good restaurants even though the streets did not look so hot- the food was always good. When we were walking somewhere, they always new the best direction even though Google Map had us using different streets- their directions were the easiest to get where we wanted to go. Was really surprised at their prices of the cold drinks in the cooler in the lobby- I got a can of coke, large bottle of water and 2 small bottles of wine for 6 Euro's.

Excellent stay at the Economy Hotel. Great location for the sights and extremely helpful people on the reception desk.

Good hotel in depressing neighborhood.
Greece is currently in the midst of an economic crisis, causing poverty, homelessness, begging and crime. The area around the hotel is graffiti-marred, attracts beggars and the unemployed, and is, as a result, depressing and dangerous, particularly at night. This, however, is not the fault of the hotel, which is safe and well-maintained. But it affects how I felt about my stay.
