Sofitel is the go to hotel whenever I am celebrating a special occasion. Stayed at their sister hotel in Queenstown and Auckland last year when I went there to propose. Stayed with Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich to celebrate my wife's birthday. Wrote in to Sofitel and was attended by Fann who was the duty manager on the day when I was checking in and even greeted me. Fann went the extra mile to make it a special day for my wife by preparing a complimentary room upgrade, a birthday cake and a birthday card. Concierge, was fantastic too as they assisted me by helping me make a reservation at Morton's. Service was impeccable! They informed me that my package reached the hotel and offered to send it up. Not only that as a foreigner getting cab was not easy and I like that they are helpful to help guest get cabs. On the second day we had late dinner at 8, FAUBOURG BAR AND TERRACE. Someone reserved the place for a party, however the lady manager (a pity I didn't get her name) she made sure that we were made to feel very welcome and she took great care of us. The room was big, there was a number of international tv programs which was greatly appreciated. Definitely will come back here again if I am in Guangzhou!
