Luxury hotels dominate accommodation, perfect for travellers seeking modern comforts with a dash of Beijing sophistication.

Shishahai

Shishahai's ancient hutongs wind between traditional courtyard homes, while three connected lakes reflect willow trees and historic pagodas. Stone bridges arch over waterways where boats glide past lakeside teahouses. The Bell and Drum Towers rise majestically above narrow alleyways filled with red lanterns and carved wooden doorways. From traditional Peking duck restaurants to trendy lakeside bars, dining options abound in this historic Beijing district. Three subway stations and frequent bus routes make getting around easy, though walking these storied paths offers the most authentic experience. Accommodation ranges from boutique guesthouses in restored hutongs to upscale waterfront hotels.

Chaoyang

Chaoyang buzzes with artsy energy and business swagger in Beijing's cosmopolitan heart. Wander through converted factories at 798 Art District or catch a show at Chang'an Grand Theatre. The neighborhood's sleek skyscrapers house corporate headquarters while Sanlitun's neon-lit streets promise cocktails and shopping thrills for night owls. Getting around is a breeze with multiple subway lines and stations like Dongdaqiao and Chaoyangmen connecting you to Beijing's highlights. Beyond the Forbidden City's vermilion walls lies a metropolis where ancient history collides with futuristic ambition. Lose yourself in the maze-like hutongs, where traditional siheyuan homes hide courtyard treasures. The Temple of Heaven's perfect acoustics demonstrate Ming Dynasty engineering that still impresses modern architects. Summer Palace gardens offer respite from urban intensity, with locals practising tai chi alongside imperial pavilions. Climb the Great Wall at less-crowded Mutianyu section for stunning views. 8/10 Good
"It’s a good place to stay if you are first time to visit Beijing. The relationship manager was a little bit push to recommend us to upgrade a better room. Anything than that, we feel very comfortable to stay there. It’s a “maybe” back hotel for our family next time visit."

"The staff of this hotel are exceptional! They ensure every detail is perfect and make it an incredibly memorable experience for the guests. Everyone is treated in a special, personal manner. The food is outstanding- from the breakfast which has everything you could ever desire and tastes amazing to the finer dining restaurants that had dishes comparable to any Michelin star in the world. The rooms are spacious, very clean and the amenity spaces such as the gym and pool are wonderful. Thank you for an amazing and memorable stay!"

10/10 Excellent
"Room was spotless, breakfast was amazing all tastes catered for, staff super friendly and helpful. Can not fault the hotel. If I was to just point out one thing I like my espresso coffee in the morning and they don’t have a proper barista on hand, making a good cup of coffee. There is a coffee shop in the lobby but it’s an expensive luxury to have several times a day. The pool can be a location for a movie set, the pictures don’t do it justice, , my kids didn’t want to leave it. A truly memorable experience."

East Sacred Hotel-near Beijing Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City,Wangfujing Street-Newly renovated hotel

8/10 Good
"Good location, nice staff and excellent service. The breakfast buffet was a big plus to us. The only thing I was not impressed was the airport drop off service. The driver was not professional at all (plate number ending 35335). The car was 15 minutes later than our scheduled pickup time. The driver never got out of the car to help us with the luggage loading. The hotel staff was helping instead. The driver was eating tomato and cucumbers with one hand driving the entire ride. After we got to the airport, he continued eating and never communicated or got out of the car to help. I was very pleased with everything this hotel offered except the airport ride."

During this time, you can explore renowned museums, majestic temples, and fascinating monuments, all while enjoying great value for money. Additionally, potential price drops in accommodation could make your stay even more budget-friendly, allowing you to immerse yourself in the rich history and vibrant culture of this remarkable city.

  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Thus, having some flexibility with your travel dates may help you find a better deal on your stay in a hotel in Beijing. If you're interested in a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised atmosphere and can sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average.
