We checked in toilet was running so we flushed it and it didn't flush. So we called reception and a man came. Told me to use left side. He had taken the panel off and screwed it out full. Def not a plumber as it didn't know it was called a balkcock. It stank. Presumably from the panel into the water tank. The whole room stank. It was disgusting. When I told reception the lady said she would get housekeeping on to it for the next guest. Shocking I had paid £90 for a truly disgusting stay in a very offensive room I. An alleged four star hotel. Terrible experience. Do not stay here.

Perfect location for visiting family in Bangor
Comfortable quiet room good breakfast

Expensive, for a tired hotel
A number of small faults add up to 'unsatisfactory'. Broken air conditioning control means the system is either 'off' or freezing in the bedroom. Room not made up one day and request to at least provide the amenities is ignored. Strange sticky table clothes in the dining room. Leave the tea pot in one place for too long and it will be difficult to lift without spilling. Time to repair the dining room ceiling following a water leak from above. Bedroom a bit tired and tatty. As there is a list of guests coming to breakfast it should be possible to have enough tables made up.

Short stay for event in SSE arena
Really close to Titanic centre and SSE arena. Marco Pierre White Steakhouse restaurant, that we didn't try, but looked nice and good value for money. Breakfast was ok, and room was spacious. Beds were on wheels though, so kept on sliding when you sit on them. Wi-Fi was good, unlimited users, and streaming was fast.

Good 6.0
Public areas very well maintained, bedrooms not so much (scratches/marks on furniture). Room was nice and warm. Staff at reception and waitresses were very pleasant and cheerful. Food was OK - nothing special - dined in bar. Eggs were cold at breakfast. Don't think it's a 4 star hotel.
