Loved our stay at Hotel Simon. Perfect location in relation to the Cathedral and the Royal Alcazar. The staff was friendly and always had a smile on their face.

Excellent location
Check in was easy and I was given access to my room ell before the check in time (which I wan't expecting, I just hoped to be able to leave my suitcase at reception!). My room was on the ground flood towards the back and was clean and tidy, sadly has no pretty tiles. Plain white walls. Hotel staff were very informative about local points of interest and were invaluable in helping me contact a Dr when I needed prescription medication. They were also very patient with my awful Spanish, as well as being fluent in English. The location is excellent. Very central with lots of traditional bars on the doorstep. Couldn't be any closer to the cathedral! Perfect for sightseeing. There are some lovely historical details in the hotel, so go upstairs and have a nose around! A relaxing seating area in the lobby. I didn't have the breakfast as I was keen to try as many local cafes as I could. There are no coffee making facilities in the room but plenty of electrical outlets if you (remember to, unlike I did!) take a travel kettle. No TV. These are explained on the website. There were no surprises. Decent towels and good water pressure in the shower (over bath, but no plug for the bath).

We had a lovely 2 night stay here. The hotel is very central for everything, 5 min walk to major sights in the city and many many eating options in the immediate areas. The hotel is beautiful, original tiling and although it's old and a little basic it's very clean and comfortable with air conditioning etc in rooms. I'd definitely stay again. No parking next to the hotel, but safe parking is a 10 minute easy walk by foot.

My room was horribly noisy. It was a good location but my room was terribly noisy most of the nite with the street traffic and elevators. I mentioned this to the front desk person and pretty much was told that it was expected when the room was facing the street like I had asked for this specific room. If you're on a budget this is a good hotel/area, if you want some decent rest don't stay here.

Comfortable and responsible priced for location
Location, central within old town. Adjacent to one of the limited vrry narrow through roads which means constant disturbing traffic noise for rooms at the front of the hotel. The lift is very noisy and disturbing for any rooms near the lift especially at the front. Breakfast was good, rooms large and airy. No tv in tooms or tea or coffee making facilities but large selection of venues near by.
