The property was quite beautiful and had a lovely veranda where you could sit and read or have a cup of hot tea. The staff was super attentive, and really went out of their way to be kind and considerate. I enjoyed the different conversations that I had with them and felt they were really friendly and helpful. The air conditioning and fan we’re just right, not too cold, as is often the case. The location was truly excellent for walking to all kinds of places in the georgetown area, and the map that was provided by the hotel was very useful. I give it an A .

Great historic hotel meticulously preserved and renovated. Rooms are very comfortable and cozy. Nice area rug under the beds. Swimming pool was a welcome retreat for a long day out in Penang. Staff all so friendly and helpful. Room included breakfast in the Yeng Keng cafe. Only recommendation to have say a 3 day rotation for some variety during the stay. You can also eat outside of breakfast in the restaurant. Hotel close to Love Lane for western bars and restaurants and to the food street market that had great food. This was our favourite hotel so far in Malaysia. Thank you!!!
