Exceptional 10.0
Great and convenient hotel
The hotel Gibson was excellent compared to Mercure Paddington London, which we had just stayed at. The room was large and comfortable compared to the puny sized room at the Mercure Paddington. The hotel as a whole is much larger. The LUAS tram was conveniently just outside the hotel and the trains commute regularly from the hotel to city centre, which took about 10 to 15 min. The hotel was also a 10 min walk from the Dublin Convention Centre where I had a conference.

Fair 4.0
Very unhappy at being allocated a disability room when I asked to be moved I was told there was only a twin room. So asked for it to be turned into a double and they said no. However this has been done when I had a previous issues with this hotel. I checked through hotels.com availability and there was plenty of rooms as an alternative. So when this was discussed at reception I questioned this. After a lot of back n forth and a request the manager due to The officious ness of the trainee receptionist. I was eventually given a suitable room. No better no bigger and thought the whole scenario could have been avoided. Had two further bookings for later this month. Have cancelled one and will probably cancel the other. Not good. Service poor.
