City-center ryokan within walking distance of Yasaka Shrine
Remember, collect 10 stamps, get 1 reward* night
Gion is situated southeast of downtown Kyoto, and was built around the colorful Yasaka Shrine, which dates back to 656 AD and which features a distinctive bright-red gate. Visitors here for the annual “hanami” cherry-blossom festival in nearby Maruyama Park.
Gion originally sprung up around the shrine to offer food and entertainment to pilgrims, and visitors to the area can still take advantage of traditional hospitality in the form of a tea ceremony in one of the authentic tea houses. If you’re lucky, you may even spot one of Japan’s last geisha shuffling down one of the quiet, lantern-hung streets.
You'll be asked to pay the following charges by the property at check-in or check-out:
The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare requires all international visitors to submit their passport number and nationality when registering at any lodging facility (inns, hotels, motels, etc. ). Additionally, lodging proprietors are required to photocopy passports for all registering guests and keep the photocopy on file.
This property accepts credit cards and cash.
