Hotel Horidome Villa - Tokyo

Hotel is located one stop away from Tokyo Station and ten minutes walk to Tokyo City Air Terminal for quick access to Narita or Haneda Airport.There are a few subway stations in the area serving various lines. There are lots of restaurants and a few convenience stores in the vicinity. Check in was smooth and room was comfortable. Bed was on the hard side, as stated in previous reviews, but ok for us. Room size was also ok for us although others had previously commented that it was too small. Room was clean but more discerning guests might notice dirt in harder to reach spots (e.g. lighting or air vents). The only minor grouse was that the room was dated and starting to age. Also, guests are expected to deposit their keys at the front desk when leaving the hotel. Guests retrieve keys simply by stating their room number, which could be a security concern. Service was warm and staff could speak English well. They would offer to store your luggage before check-in or after check-out. Free coffee is offered in the lobby in the mornings. Wifi was fast and reliable. Overall this was a great stay in convenient location with a good price. Service was great and staff would try to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The room is very small and the furniture looks old. The door key needs to be returned whenever you leave the room. However, the location is good. Nearby two subway stations which makes the trip so convenient.

The hotel was really conveniently located and not too hard to reach from Narita International airport via Ueno Station. The hotel staff were very friendly and were always available to help if needed. The room was nice albeit very small. There was a tiny amount of floor space which meant that there was almost no room for both me and my partner to be stood up at the same time and have our suitcases in the room too. This being said the quality of the fittings was excellent and the hotel provided a phone which you could take out with you which had unlimited data for you to use while out and about. This was really helpful and made our trip to Tokyo so much better! For this we are very thankful. The hotel was lovely and I would recommend it to anyone. I personally would have no hesitation in staying here again

Loved this hotel! The staff were extremely courteous from day one. The hotel also supplied a "handy" smartphone with each room, allowing you to use the data, make domestic calls and some international calls though I can't remember to which countries. We were planning on buying a pocket wifi but used this instead for navigating Tokyo while out and about. The rooms were a bit cramped but no smaller than other rooms I've stayed in, in Japan.
