Thesan Etruscan Spa has 4 treatment rooms, including rooms for couples. Services include deep-tissue massages, sports massages, Swedish massages and facials. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and are very well maintained. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We did have a problem with our room which could not have been foreseen but it was dealt with. It has a great pool and a special mention has to be given to Daniella who runs the bar, she is the hardest working person I think I have ever seen! The hotel is let down by the food options available- the lunch menu is very small and unfortunately in the evening, if you don’t want to eat every night in the Michelin restaurant then the light dinner menu is extremely limited which a few nights stay would not be a problem but any longer, you have no option other than to go out. The proximity to Cortona is good but you do need a car to get around, nowhere is walkable.

Beautiful setting. Breakfast very good, too bad could not sit outside due to bothersome bees. Room was spacious, great view of Cortona and valley. Only negative was a walk uphill to room from parking/ restaurant (tough on a full stomach!) Glad in good enough shape to able to do it.

The property is amazing, with view of Cortona on the hillside and the Tuscan countryside down below. The cooking class with Sylvie was fantastic and recommended. I thought the price was a little high, but after the full experience with dinner, we felt it was a bargain. We would do it again.

This was one of the most beautiful properties we have stayed at and the service level was impeccable. I could not say more about the entire experience. The service was superior and the staff went over and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and also assisted in making changes to excursions when our timetables were tight. Riccarrdo and Sylvia Barracchi, property owners, top vinter and Michelin chef, respectively, made our stay extra special. We will definitely return and recommend this property without hesitation.
