Old Mill Hotel

Great location right on the waterfront. Easy to walk to everywhere. Going in February meant not everywhere was open. It would be amazing to go in summer when all the outdoor entertaining areas are open in Klaipeda and the nightlife is livelier. The hotel itself is a beautiful unique building and the room was large, clean and had all that was promised in the guide. The only downside was the breakfast on the second morning. The food was slow coming out to the buffet so we waited a long time for the hot buffet, juices and milk to be replenished. Apart from the breakfast we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and in Klaipeda. A trip to the Curonian Spit is a must 1€ on the ferry (pay in 1 direction only). The huge sand dune is fabulous.

Perfect location, nice view, free parking near hotel. Very small towels, basic breakfast.

“Old Mill Hotel” is located in marina area of Klaipėda, at the end of the old town, putting together the form of old rice warehouse (built in 18th century) and modern fachwerk architecture. Location of the hotel is perfect, also views from panoramic windows – we lived in the room with views to the Black Host of Klaipėda and the Spinning Bridge. Our room was spacious and comfortable beds, good internet connection. Enough space to park your car. We loved the old town of Klaipėda with a lot of cosy bars and mini sculptures, easily integrated into the old town architecture. Breakfast was not the strongest side of the hotel, but good enough if you don’t have exclusive wishes.

We spent three nights at this hotel. The place of the hotel is really nice by the old fort and the old harbour. It took only about 5 minutes to walk to the old town. The staff was very friendly. The shower in our room had a minor problem in the first evening but it was fixed during the next day. Breakfast was good but there was no covid 19 precautions at the restaurant. Parking place in front of the hotel is very limited but the hotel has a large parking place about 200 meters away. The only negative detail was that there was very little space in the bathroom for your own utensils. A shelf on the wall would be useful.

I liked this hotel for its location, architecture and history. Unfortunately, inside all of this is lost. It is just an ordinary 3* hotel. But at least the bed had the wide mattress and not two small ones next to each other. From the window we saw castle site and a bit of the rotatable bridge. The breakfast are also ordinary. We went one hour before the end of breakfast and there were already only leftovers, the water for tea was a bit too cold. During the check out, we waited around 15 minutes (even after another employee calling the receptionist) and no one showed up. Luckily, we have paid for a room in advance and haven't used anything from the mini bar (for which the key you have to ask at the reception), so we just left the key card and went out.

Die Zimmer waren sehr groß und geräumig. Das Frühstück war ok. Wir waren eine Nacht dort und dafür war Preis/Leistung gut. Nichts zu bemängeln
