Resort no longer at its peak
We were a group of 2 retired American couples who spent 3 nights at the Siripanna Resort and Spa in January 2023. The friendly airport transfer driver arranged by the hotel was waiting for us when we deplaned. The resort looks “tired” and is located on a busy road across the street from several dilapidated “stores”. Check-in was quick, efficient, and courteous. The reception staff were very responsive and personable. We each chose a villa around the pool and each was surrounded by vibrant, oversized leafy foliage. The traditional bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious, water pressure and temperatures were excellent, air conditioning worked well, beds were comfortable, and the wifi was consistent. The resort, however, has passed its prime. There was only one working restaurant, and it was essentially vacant around dinner time which was perhaps due to a limited menu. The buffet breakfast offered a wide selection of food and was well attended. There was no bar. Note: AX is not accepted and the hotel does not exchange currency.

The hotel is not honestly advertising their offer. Spa and half of the property is shut down, giving a feel of total neglect when you walk around. The spa was the reason i booked this hotel in the first place. The staff is totally passive, non engaging, no greetings. The restaurant staff is more distracted by their phones or having fun between each others than answering your questions while standing with the menu in your hands.
