Hotel was very clean, stylish and the view is good! About 3 mins drive to queenstown central and sheltered parking is provided too. Staff is very for informative,helpful and professional throughout our stay! Highly recommended

We were staying here for honeymoon and was given suite room. The room is overlooking Lake Wakatipu and it is the most beautiful thing ever! The room has complete cooking utilities and utensils. The living area is spacious. It has also separate working area with PC and long desk. Every suite & studio are sharing a private washer and dryer. free of charge!

amazingly neat. we did find a dirty pillow but the housekeeping service changed it the next day. the living space is decent and kitchen is good for cooking! 6mins drive (on foot if you like) to town with lots eateries, grocery shopping. friendly service, gave us free bread and chocolate. value for money if you have 4 persons to share the suite. the roads can get quite busy.

Poor
This is not five star or even luxury. The rooms are tired and we didn’t realise many are now long term let’s. We had four people living above us in a room that had very little soundproofing. This also meant the Main road that was only a few meters from our lounge was very invasive for noise. You couldn’t have the doors open. We checked out after our first night of three. Reception only checked that we realized there was no refund. Once they had assured themselves they wouldn’t be out of pocket, they didn’t bother to check on the reason for us leaving early. I suspect early departures are not an uncommon occurrence so they are no longer surprised nor care. We can’t comment any more on their on the service as it didn’t exist. Not recommended. Footnote: we ended up at The Rees for the same price for our final two nights. Brilliant in every way!

Amazing place to stay, the views, the accommodation, and all within a leisurely stroll into town. We were provided an upgrade at a minimal cost which was well worth every cent spent. Had an issue with the Sky access in the first room, and we were moved to another room with very little effort or inconvenience. Highly recommend!

Great lake views and comfortable stay
We were upgraded to a lake view apartment, the views were terrific. Our stay was very comfortable although the apartment is in need of a spruce up. The staff were very helpful and were prompt in responding to any request we made. Overall we would recommend staying at the Pounamu suites. Nice and close to town.
