This was our 4th stay here at the Burgundy. My husband and I love this place everytime we stay here. The pool and the tub were remodeled and lookin’ really really nice! The most important thing for us was the EXCELLENT customer service. When we booked the room and checked in, once again our favorite front desk person JORDAN met our needs. He made sure the fireplace was ready to be used and anything that we need he made sure we were happy! We can’t wait to go back the Big Bear again and stay at this hotel! Thank you Jordan for the amazing hospitality!

We have stayed at the hotel a dozen times when it was formerly Black Forest Lodge. The rooms are clean and very nice, and the pricing is extremely reasonable. Our only complaint is don’t ask for a late checkout(as is states is doable in the room) unless you want to pay around 25% of the room cost for an hour late checkout and 50% of the room cost for two hours. That is absolutely asinine. We stayed on a Tuesday and no one else was in our building. Housekeeping probably doesn’t come until the afternoon so it didn’t seem like a huge ask. We were going to stay up in the area and it would have been nice to have a late checkout, but obviously we didn’t when we were told the charges. Under the previous owner we were never charged for a late check out. That is an unnecessary money grab. I let the front desk know to let management know how ludicrous that is.

This is the absolutely cutest hotel. It's not too far of a walk to the downtown and they have a very cool classy 70s aesthetics. In the lobby, they have complementary coffee, tea and water, as well as some video games and comfy couches and the rooms are comfortable.
